Release questions should go to the office responsible for that part of the record. Hancock County jail custody, a local court case, local probation, state incarceration, victim notification, and immigration custody are separate systems. Use the details below to reach the proper source.

Sheriff Records

Ask this office for a booking sheet, actual release or discharge entry, release timestamp, booking photograph, or the applicable record-retention schedule. The sheriff says many records are available within three to five business days, but that language is not a guarantee for a particular request.

Justice Center Custody

Use corrections for present Hancock County Justice Center custody and facility questions. A past booking can be searched through the sheriff's current-and-past inmate inquiry, but only the custodian can resolve an unclear or delayed status.

Adult Probation

Call with the complete, correctly spelled name to identify a local probation officer. County probation is not Ohio Adult Parole Authority supervision, and pretrial reporting is not the same as completed probation.

Common Pleas and Clerk

Use the felony docket to check a bond order, dismissal, sentence, conveyance, judicial release, community-control term, or later warrant. A court entry explains the case, while a jail Release Date marks the end of one custody episode.

Findlay Police Records

This route fits an incident or brief Findlay Police hold that did not become a Justice Center booking. Include the incident date and time, location, report or case number, and involved person's name when known.

State Custody and Records

ODRC handles state-prison and Adult Parole Authority records. It does not maintain an ordinary county-only jail stay that never entered state custody.

VINE and ICE

VINE supplies custody-event notifications and should be paired with the reporting custodian's record. ICE privacy rules can limit information given about another person unless a valid authorization applies.
